The maximum number of patients taking Nabumentone does not suffer
from any side effect. But since exceptional cases are always there,
some side effects are seen with this drug too. Overdosing of
Nabumetone may cause problems like nausea, vomiting, drowsiness,
blurred vision and also stomach ache. These were the normal side
effects, if the over dose is taken to a great height it may even
lead to fainting or leading the patient to coma.
The other side effects caused due to this drug are the low fever,
change in colour of urine making it darker, change in colour of
stools making it brownish or blackish; loss of appetite can also be
a symptom. Some patients also have complain regarding less passage
of urine. Some suffer from rapid weight gain while some undergo
swelling.Itiching of skin and rashes are also a problem some side
effects.Upseting of stomach,diarrhea,constipation are all symptoms
indicatating that the drug is not compatible with the body, and
requires some changes.
Though not showing many side effects in the fetus or the feeding
baby, Nabumetone is avoided during pregnancy and while breast
feeding the baby. Patients consuming this drug and also taking in
three or more than that alcoholic beverages in a day are at a
greater risk to suffer from ulcers in the stromach.Some other
serious problems relating the side effects of Nabumetone are the
pain in the abdomine,ulcerations,cramping,people having gastric
problem can suffer from form gastritis and gastrointestinal
bleeding. Liver toxicity is also a problem.
All these side effects are some where or the other related to dosing
of the drug and so can be avoided, by taking care of the prescribed
doses and their timings.
